SELF-PROMOTION: Last week at Reason I marked the 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandela's release from prison with an
interview with Howard Barrell, a former ANC operative who argues that it was nonviolent civil resistance, not armed action, that did apartheid in.

Also, my Reason squib about Jens Galschiot's sculpture Survival of the Fattest is now online. The article can also boast of being censored by the Bent County Correctional Facility in Colorado.
