LIFE IS HORRIBLE, CHARLIE BROWN: One feverish night in 1992, I dreamed an entire Peanuts special in rock opera form. For a day, everything goes Charlie Brown's way: He talks to the little red-haired girl, wins a baseball game, is a hero and friend to all. Then he gets home and learns that while he was having the best day of his life, his father the barber died.
