MARY FROHMAN, RIP: Monday I heard that Mary Frohman had died, and I decided to write a tribute to her for this blog. But by the time I'd finished composing the eulogy, it had become a 2,000-word article for the Reason website. If you'd like to read about her life, please go
there. Here I'll just quote something she said many years ago, as she reminisced about her role in the '60s antiwar movement. "The real significance of the '60s was not the war," she said. "History is not made up of battles, but inventions."

Requiescat in pace.
